Katja Herbers has been a professional performer since she was a small girl. She is the daughter of Vera Beths (violinist) and Werner Herbers (oboist). While growing up Katja Herbers was a part of her mom on a tour across America in the chamber orchestra L'Archibudelli. Her mother remarried cellist Anner Bylsma and her father got married to costume designer Leonie the Polak who introduced her to stage. When she was growing up she had an au pair who was from Canada.
